Networking & Security

The need for reliable, accessible and secure networks are increasingly important in today’s Central Government organisations.

SCC’s Network & Security practice focuses on the delivery of LAN, Wireless and Security technologies to meet a wide range of modern government business requirements. We see an increasing need in government for flexible working; enabling employees to work in any building, on a range of devices, and most importantly, securely.

SCC has top-tier accreditations with key technology vendors, such as Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet and HPE Aruba, and we have dedicated specialist teams who focus on design, implementation, support and management, while also offering a range of value-add services, such as health-checks, network/security audits and lifecycle services.

SCC have a range of GDPR Readiness Assessments that help our customer to uncover current governance levels, with a view to demonstrate the necessary controls to implement for sensitive data. GDPR is about more than just identifying and protecting data. The new legislation includes the right to be forgotten, enforced 72 hour breach notification, and data portability and transparency. It’s important to conduct an in-depth review of your current processes and capabilities to ensure you’re prepared and ready to avoid the hefty fines being brought in by the regulation.

SCC have recently hosted a series of webinars discussing the complex subject of the GDPR. We’ve had some great feedback from customers and these recordings are available on-demand. CLICK HERE to access the content.

Cyber Security Intelligence

SCC’s Cyber Security Intelligence Service provides security support, compliance and alerting for our customer’s IT infrastructure. Once deployed and configured, the service monitors the network 24/7 and provides detailed analysis / alerting against known and unknown security offenses. Powered by IBM QRadar, SCC will consolidate log events and network flow data from devices, endpoints and applications distributed throughout IT infrastructure. This data is correlated and normalised to identify security offences using an advanced analytics engine to detect anomalies, uncover advanced threats and remove false positives. SCC helps to evolve customer’s IT strategy to meet regulatory and security compliance requirements with optional service levels and access to a 24/7 security operations centre.
